     It has been estimated that over 100,000 Americans die every year due to medical errors committed by doctors, nurses, hospitals and other medical care providers. The numbers are higher if you add in deaths from nursing home neglect. This number does not even include those who are injured or crippled by such medical malpractice.

     These are injuries, disabilities and deaths that need not have happened and, hence, should not have happened.
