I’m Attorney Stephen Gorey, and I’m proud to be sponsoring this KGUN 9 Legal Line website for the people of Arizona.

Do you have a personal injury that occurred here in the Tucson area or anywhere in the state of Arizona?

Perhaps you or a family member have been involved in an auto accident or someone you know was involved in a slip and fall accident.  Take a moment and email me the details of the injury accident in the box on the right. I will do my best to promptly send you back an initial and free response to your question.

You can also call the Tucson Personal Injury Legal Line anytime, 24 hours a day to hear free tips and information on injury related matters where you may want the help of an attorney.  You’ll have the option to direct-connect to my law office to speak with me personally on any matter dealing with an Arizona injury.  I am also licensed to practice law in California.  There is no charge for an initial consultation.

Insurance companies and opposing lawyers have asked to settle the overwhelming majority of personal injury claims that I have developed for my clients, either before I filed suit or during the course of litigation.  In 34 years of trying cases to a jury, I have only been defensed 6 times.

I have never sought professional fame or power and have never sought appointment as a judge. I have never applied to be recognized as a certified specialist.   I maintain my membership in the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association and I am active in providing advice to other lawyers on that Associations’s Listserve.

Overwhelming odds.....

My spouse and I met after losing both our former mates to cancer. One month into our new marriage I was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of prostate cancer. The surgeon was able to get all the cancer but just when I was nearly healed I had a terrible fall at work. My back refused to heal properly and when we were about to lose everything Steve Gorey came into our lives and won our case.

From the moment Attorney Steve, as we affectionately call him, took my case our load of dread and uncertainty was lifted. He has never missed a stroke nor left any stone unturned in my defense. He is a tireless advocate in whom I/we have learned to place my/our complete trust. By ourselves my spouse and I faced overwhelming odds against a company that had the resources and expertise that we did not. More than once Attorney Gorey has demonstrated to us that we have more than a fighting chance, my spouse and I again have a future together we can look forward to.

For more than a fighting chance I/we wholeheartedly endorse and recommend Attorney Steve Gorey. “Do not fear! Attorney Steve is here” Thank  you “Attorney Steve”.

With gratitude and affection,
Curtis and Beverly Miller

  • My husband, Stan, fell from our back porch deck in July and has not been able to return to work.  Can we get any financial help from our home owners insurance?
  • My doctor misdiagnosed me as being diabetic and prescribed medication. Do I need a lawyer to file a complaint with the medical board?
  • My college student son went to the college theater to rehearse something for a class.  He was on the dark stage and fell into the orchestra pit because the cover had been taken off the pit.  He sustained a head injury and spent two days in ICU.  Should the university pay for his medical expenses?
  • Over Easter vacation my 6yr old son was visiting his grandmother in Nevada. He suffered an asthma attack and was taken to the emergency room by ambulance. He did not recover from his attack and passed away around 3pm. The hospital billed us over $900 and our insurance paid all but $170 because the insurance company feels their rates are too high. Now we are getting calls from a collection agency wanting us to pay the balance. I don't feel that I should pay more than usual for treatment that was not sufficient enough to save my sons life. What can we do?
  • I was rear ended Jan. 2008. The other driver's Insurance had my car fixed right away. I was not seriously injured. I did go to the Dr., Orthopedic, had MRI and Physical Therapy. I met with the adjuster and gave him all of my expenses. Finally, the other driver's Insurance contacted me and has only offered me $280 to settle I told the adjuster about the PT Evaluation stating that I had 40% mobility when I started PT. I paid my out of pocket co pay on Medical visits, Physical Therapy, medicine, gas to appointments and parking. In addition, I missed 3 days of work and was laid up.  Not to mention pain and suffering.  Do I have any kind of a case?
  • I was involved in a car wreck that I was found at fault. I later found out when calling my insurance company my policy had expired and I was not insured, and I had no knowledge of the policy expiring. I did not receive a ticket for no insurance I had the ticket taken care of by an attorney. I was found not guilty and the ticket was reduced. The other party has only contacted me once via phone and informed me they were NOT injured and not sure how much the damage cost would be that the car had minor rear damage.   Rear end collision.  I later received a letter from the other party, he is an environmental attorney. He wrote me a letter stating I have had no contact with him and that he and his wife were injured and there is now significant damage to the rear of the car. I am not sure what I should do since the story continues to change. I did pay my insurance right after I spoke with my agent but they will not cover the wreck.   Please help .
  • We are trying to find out if we have a case against my husband’s previous doctor.  He was a patient with his doctor but the doctor was never there and only his nurse practitioner sees patients. My husband had hurt his neck/ back and asked for some pain pills.  The nurse practitioner kept prescribing them and therefore causing an addiction.  My husband lost jobs, almost his family and costly rehab.   I feel like if the doctor was ever in the office or overseeing patients this could have been prevented.  I don't know if we have a case but I feel like someone needs to be held responsible.
  • Someone hit my car and totaled it. He got out on foot and ran. So we have the van that hit me and we know who the owner is, we just dont know who was driving it. The cops say they cant do anything for me. Is the owner of the van responsible for totaling my car?
  • My husband was one of the confirmed cases from bad hamburger.   He still isn’t quite right. Is there a way to make these food giants more careful?
  • My wife was hit while she was stopped at a red light and received whiplash. She went to the hospital and had x rays, was given painkilers and released. But because of her whiplash injury we cannot get health insurance on the private market that will cover her neck because it is now a pre existing condition. I would like to know what I can do to get her coverage and if the insurance co is liable to cover the damages and liability I now have on my hands. She is currently unemployed and looking for work and I do have work but I don't have coverage through work because I have coverage through the VA from being a veteran. Its an odd situation but I feel that this is through no fault of our own and it's not fair that we have to cover this liability caused by their client.
